Welcome to Mwydro!

To reflect the development in the business’ services, Cardiau Mwydro has today (27.05.21) taken the exciting step to re-brand to Mwydro!

Since establishing the business back in March 2019, I’ve been fortunate to see the business develop and grow so much. And since receiving a grant to purchase an iPad and printer thanks to the Llwyddo’n Lleol, I’ve been able to extend my services to include digital illustration and animation.

With Digital Design Commissions and GIF Packages becoming such a prominent part of the business’ services, I thought it was about time that the brand reflected the business!
And why Mwydro you ask? Well ‘Mwydro’ is a Welsh word with no direct translation but in its essence means to talk a lot about nothing much. That seems to describe me to a t, and it’s crafting that seems to be one of the only things that keeps me quiet!

But don’t worry! Mwydro will still be offering a bespoke card-making service, alongside many new services – including commissioned design work, and creating animated GIFs for businesses.

I’m so excited to see what the future holds for the business, and it’s a dream come true to openly call myself an illustrator. Since I was a child I’ve had a love for drawing and doodling, with Jacqueline Wilson’s illustrator Nick Sharatt a big influence on my work.

Under the new brand I feel I have greater confidence to share my illustration work, and hopefully work with you, my audience, to develop and grow the service.

To learn more about Mwydro’s work, be sure to follow me on social media. And you’re welcome to get in touch any time to learn more about my work, or just to say hello! As I’ve already said, I do like to mwydro!

All the best,
Sioned
